Stage One – Cleaning Exterior and Examining the Damage

This is the car upon its arrival but two days prior i painted and repaired the front bumper of which you will see as you scroll down

Paintwork Repairs

These pictures show the extent of the damage. Yes this type of paintwork should be carried out a conventional bodyshop as the rust and bumper was really bad, especially the rust. My customer though insisted that i worked my magic and repair them to an acceptable standard of which he was happy with. upon completion of the paintwork it was onto the detailing work

Stage 1 – Continued

First the car went through 20 wash stages to remove all the surface dirt and decontamination i.e. tar spots and iron fallout etc before been brought inside to get blown dried using plush microfibre towels and a warm air blower. Only at that point the car was ready for further inspection.

Stage 2 – Inspection and Paint Correction

As you can see by the before photo that the car has had paintwork before of which you would expect from nearly a 30 year old car and along with the swirl marks and marring that I had my work cut out on this one. Once corrected though the difference was massive considering the circumstances around the car

As part of the customers package he chose an engine bay clean. Obviously this takes a lot of meticulous cleaning using specialist products and tools to ensure a top class finish

Also as part of his package was an interior detail consisting of a full deep clean using specialist tools, machines and products. As you will be able to tell the drivers seat has been replaced in its history, this is why its a different colour, something the customer was not repairing at this time.

Stage 3 – The finished photos

What a journey this car has come! from paintwork to correction and now finally the protection. This came courtesy of ‘Fortitude’ by Mitchell & King giving the car a layer of one of the best waxes in the range.
